a beautiful story!

Leaving his family behind to pursue survival, Pablo Aguirre, came to the US in the '80s, later on and after working in the field of dreams (strawberries fields of California) moved ut with his family to Virginia.  With limited savings opened the first, El Puerto (the Port) named after his Hometown El Puerto of Santa Catarina, Jalisco Mexico.  El Puerto opened the first of many Restaurants in Blacksburg VA in 1990.

  • Following the family success of El Puerto, Pablo Avalos opened El Puerto C'Ville, 15 years ago. Following the family recipes, the freshest ingredients, great work and tradition, El Puerto C'Ville, brings to your plate the result of many years of flavor, experience and the tradition of a taste that so many describe as the best of Shenandoah Valley.
  • El Puerto Mexican C'Ville, "a quick stop at Mexican Tradition!!!

El Puerto, at 2045 Barracks Road, serves up Mexican Food,  It's a family Restaurant, but there is a steady stream of business from all demographics.   "We have a lot of people from everywhere" said Pablo Avalos, General Manager.  "We have a lot of vegeterian dishes", Avalos said. "We make a lot of things vegetarian".

Avalos said the Restaurant has also been very popular with the region's Hispanic Population. "We serve a lot of dishes that are popular in Mexico and they feel like they are home," Avalos said. "We cook everything like they do in Mexico."

The Restaurant Menu is extensive, with 31 combination dinners, 27 special orders and 31 grilled orders, but Avalos said customers are not limited to what is on the Menu.

"If people like it differently then we prepare it to the customer's request," Avalos said.  He added, "the most popular dish on the menu is fajitas for two, with beef, chicken or shrimp... the vegetable combination dinner was also popular." Testimonials: "This was my second visit. Had the burrito verde. One son had burrito rojo, another had fajita burrito. Great flavor, good value for money. Rice and beans were also good. Service was great. Always friendly. Highly recommended.Trip Advisor Review 5 stars ***** B.Jim Ellicott City, Maryland
